Magnetic Cracked Pot

The magnetic fields of a cracked pot. Note - the blue ring in the center is from having two different magnets; the bottom volume is like a large ring magnet and the top is like a cylinder magnet. The interaction between the two, top and bottom, produces the blue ring eddy of flux. Also a capacitor with horizontal plates has the same field values as a vertical aligned magnet. Magnetic Statue of Liberty

This video was made about a week before the 'Magnetic Thinker' video using the same techniques. Mainly I can model any form that can be saved as a STL file, which used in 3d printing. Each STL object in a scene can have different magnetic alignments.

Optical Stern-Gerlach with a Ferrofluid Cell

Using a camera adjacent to an incandescent lamp with a polarizing filter that is supplying light at a 45 degree incidence angle to the ferrofluid cell. Basically, using a bright lamp instead of a camera flash. If you look, you can see the image of the camera reflected in the background. On the other side of the ferrofluid cell is a single rotating magnet, profile view with a north and south poles adjacent to the cell. Only the magnet moves, everything else is fixed in place.

If the statue was made of Neodymium and magnetized thru the vertical axis, the colors show the energy levels and the white dots show the magnetic 'B' field lines.
