I am Assistant Professor for Plant Biochemical and Molecular Genetics at Purdue University. My area of research is plant molecular biology and genetics. The focus of my research is the use of molecular approaches to analyze plant growth processes employing mutagenesis technologies. My group works presently on the development and application of nanotech approaches to detect and quantify biomolecules in plant cells at the nano- and femtomolar level. This will allow to detect the occurrence and address the fate of small numbers of DNA, RNA and other molecules in single cells.
