Dilip Jeste, M.D., is Estelle and Edgar Levi Chair in Aging, Director of the Sam and Rose Stein Institute for Research on Aging, and Distinguished Professor of Psychiatry and Neurosciences, University of California, San Diego and VA San Diego Healthcare System. He is the recipient of multiple honors and awards, and federal research grants. He has published eight books and over 500 articles in peer-reviewed journals and books. He is a member of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences, and the Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry, and is in the ISI list of the “world's most cited authors”--comprising less than 0.5% of all publishing researchers of the last two decades.
