Dr. Meeker is an Associate Information Scientist at RAND Corporation. She has experience in architecting and implementing several systems that apply near real-time data processing and analysis, as well as merging large databases and creating networked applications. She is the lead investigator of the SCANNER-BEARI collaboration.

Two years ago, her research group transitioned to UCSD from Harvard Medical School. They continue to work on biomedical pattern recognition from large data sets, statistical learning, and privacy technology. She is the Principal Investigator of SCANNER.

Dr. Aziz Bowala is an Associate Professor in the UCSD School of Medicine’s Division of Biomedical Informatics, where he directs the Section on Clinical Informatics. He has dual training in medicine and biomedical engineering informatics. At UCSD, he has developed the clinical data warehouse for research. He is the Co-Principle Investigator of SCANNER.
