Mouse Genotyping

submitted by: abnova

Abnova - Genotyping is the process of determining the genes (genotype) of an individual by examining its DNA with the use of biological assays (ex: PCR, DNA sequencing). Three steps to type the mouse genotype : (i) isolate the genomic DNA from mouse tails; (ii) PCR to amplify with specific primers; (iii) electrophoresis to determine the genotype.
