Fighting for Family was produced with the aim of creating awareness in the many aspects of hereditary breast and ovarian cancer. The viewer is introduced to concepts of mendelian inheritance and gene mutation. As told through the eyes of hereditary breast and ovarian cancer gene mutation carriers, the viewers are encouraged to probe their family histories to make important decisions for themselves and future generations.
