Effects of Water Systems and Storage on Human Vulnerability to Diseases

Global changes have had a major impact on vector borne diseases, including malaria, dengue fever, infections by other arboviruses and many others that have been observed for the past few years. Global changes encompass a wide range of factors including climate change and variability, land use, water storage and irrigation, and human population. In addition to vector borne diseases, climate change has also have a huge affect on infectious, water-related disease. This research is focused primarily on the effects of water storage and system on human vulnerability to disease.
