Sue Tanges received her BS in Geological Sciences from SDSU in 1980. Subsequently, she started working locally for a geotechnical consulting firm and concurrently attended graduate school at SDSU. Since 1991, Sue has been the owner of Southland Geotechnical Consultants, performing geotechnical studies for new developments, such as parks, pipelines, and custom homes. Sue is also a geology interpreter on raft trips through the Grand Canyon and a volunteer for the SDSU Department of Geological Sciences and geo-professional organizations.
