Meridian blood injection therapy for children with bronchial asthma quality of life.

Abstract: Objective To observe the children with asthma meridian Note blood therapy, asthma symptom scores, asthma symptoms, changes of the pediatric asthma quality of life questionnaire, to explore the impact of the meridian blood injection therapy on quality of life of children with asthma, for treatment of children with asthma and improve asthma quality of life in children with clinical application basis. Methods A prospective randomized controlled clinical study. 60 cases met the inclusion criteria of bronchial asthma in children, using SAS statistical software PROC PLAN process simple randomized, divided into 30 cases of the treatment group (the basis of Western medicine treatment and meridian blood injection therapy) and control group (the basis of Western medicine treatment) recorded before and after treatment asthma symptom scores, asthma symptoms, changes of the pediatric asthma quality of life questionnaire data. Meridian Note blood therapy regimen of treatment group received 15 Note meridian acupoint injection of blood therapy, while providing the basis of Western medical treatment, a total of 50 days; control group given only the basis of western medicine, a total of 50 days. Respectively, before treatment, the end of treatment, 3 months after treatment, clinical indicators record. Results Before treatment, each phase, no significant differences. After treatment, the two groups in the daytime symptom score, the first 2 weeks of no asthma symptoms, PAQLQ side than that before treatment a significant improvement, p <0.05 statistically significant difference, but the treatment group improved more significantly than the control group, p0 .05 statistically different; at night symptom score in the control group before and after p0.05 was no significant difference before and after treatment, p <0.05, a statistically significant difference, but the two groups after treatment, p <0.05, no statistically significant. 3 months after treatment in both groups in daytime symptom score, night-time symptom scores, the first 2 weeks of symptoms of asthma, the PAQLQ pay treatment before a significant improvement, p <0.05 statistically significant difference, but the treatment group compared with the control group improved more significantly, p <0.05 statistically significant difference.
Conclusion: This study showed that the meridians blood injection therapy combined with standard Western medicine treatment, better able to improve the symptoms of asthma in children, especially in improving the quality of life in children with and superior to the single Western medicine treatment to help the growth of children with asthma.
