How to grow / culture yeast on agar or in YPD:

We show you how to prepare fresh cultures of yeast from previously grown agar plates.

Spruce up your old yeast cultures by replating onto fresh media or liquid YPD, or select colonies of interest to be expanded.

How to pour YPD Agar plates:

This tutorial shows you how we make and pour 400ml of YPD Agar.

Ingredients:
4g Yeast Extract
8g Bacterial Peptone
8g Glucose
6.4g Agar
400ml Water
Antibiotic (varies depending on use)
