Richard Wang was a pediatric cancer patient when he was younger. After a year of treatment, he went into remission and is currently cancer-free.

After high school, like many young Americans, he joined the military. After serving four years as a nurse medic, he decided to get his bachelor's degree and Registered Nurse certification. Upon completion, he applied for a job at MD Anderson and began working as a full-time nurse.

Wang is one of many MD Anderson employees who served in the military before joining MD Anderson and many continue to serve in the Guard and Reserves while working here. We at MD Anderson thank you for your service.
