9th Genomic Standards Consortium Workshop held at JCVI, Rockville, MD, USA April 28-30, 2010 (http://gensc.org/gc_wiki/index.php/GSC_9)

Multiple government agencies have a stake in the development of widely-adopted standards, capture of multi-omics and ecological data and metadata, and sharing across community boundaries. This panel will provide a forum for representatives from various government agencies to present and discuss their perspectives on critical issues for the advancement of science at the intersection of genomics, metagenomics, ecology, bioenergy, biosecurity, and environmental science.

The panelists are: Matt Davenport (DHS S&T), Maria Giovanni (NIAID), Gopal Gopinathrao (FDA), Matt Kane (NSF/DEB), Victor Pollara (DTRA), Marc Salit (NIST) and Sylvia Spengler (NSF/IIS).
