As you have likely noticed we introduced banner advertising on the SciVee site today. At the same time we updated the layout for some of the more popular features to enhance access and usability. We’ve tried to strike the right balance between what you told us you like about SciVee and what advertisers have indicated they prefer for ad size and location.
Our commercialization program is progressing well. We have several journals and educational programs that have subscribed to our service, with more coming. We also have transactions by individuals occurring through the eCommerce part of the site. Advertising now adds the third dimension to our program. As is becoming increasingly obvious among those who publish on-line – i.e., newspapers, magazines, broadcasters – multiple revenue streams must be established to succeed as a web-based business. We believe SciVee is operating consistent with that trend.
