May 2004 the Life Sciences Information Technology (LSIT) Global Institute (www.LSIT.org) made its public debut. LSIT was incubated at UCSD Connect with grants from Sun Microsystems, Pfizer, Novartis and other life science and healthcare groups. LSIT mission is to develop Good Informatics Practices (GIP) guidance for the life science and healthcare communities.
