In a new video from the National Academies, experts serving on the America's Climate Choices study committee and panels talk about the project, which aims to inform and guide the nation's response to climate change. The video takes an in-depth look at the process through which these experts will come to consensus, and highlights how crucial the choices we face now will be for decades to come. Congressman Alan Mollohan (D-WV) provides his perspective as the initiator of the project.
The National Academies launched America's Climate Choices in response to a request from Congress. Experts representing various levels of government, the private sector, nongovernmental organizations, and research and academic institutions have been selected to serve on four panels and an overarching committee.
